Objective
Implementation of remediation measures to diminish the health risk associated with the presence of asbestos contaminated materials for the inhabitants of Villa Pizarreño.
Description
The project was financed by CONAMA’s Environmental Protection Fund and was carried out in the courtyards of 51 homes in this sector. Remediation measures to diminish the health risk associated with the presence of asbestos contaminated materials for the inhabitants. The courtyard floors were removed and replaced, and the waste that was generated was transported and disposed of. Debris and insulation material containing asbestos that were in some houses were also removed and disposed of.
Expected Results
Remediation of zones (courtyards) contaminated by asbestos.
