Contaminated Sites Survey V Region

  • Objective

    To apply and consolidate a systematic procedure for identifying contaminated sites in the country.

  • Description

    The project, financed by CONAMA, involves 3 stages: (i) the identification of all potential contaminating activities that are or were in a region (ii) the definition of a specific area(s) of interest through which the identification and evaluation efforts can be channeled, (iii) prioritize the sites as a function of the risk in order to carry out a preliminary on-site risk evaluation (iv) inspection and evaluation of the prioritized sites and (v) preparation of an identification guide and development of a digital information system for managing the survey.

    Identification of potentially contaminated sites in Region V. Creation of a Computerized Survey. Development and application of a preliminary inspection procedure for potentially contaminated sites. Procedural Guidelines for Identifying Potentially Contaminated Sites.
